Curiosity That Saves You Time and Money

I learn a great deal from my patients. I am naturally curious, and the conversations we have in the office often lead to unique and meaningful topics. I learn about their families, hobbies, work, and interests. A few patients have even taught me a lot about whiskey and bourbon. There is a difference!

More importantly, getting to know my patients helps me see the bigger picture. Those conversations can help me better understand their goals, provide Structural Chiropractic care, and, when appropriate, share other practical recommendations or connect them with helpful resources.

A Nausea-Free Vacation

Two of our Protection plan patients mentioned that they were taking their whole family on a trip to a national park. From previous conversations, I knew that their toddler experienced carsickness during car rides. A cross-country trip—especially one involving mountain roads—would’ve been especially difficult for the child.

They were scheduled to leave in a month, so I suggested that they bring their child in for a Structural Chiropractic examination. After the child received gentle, specific Structural Chiropractic care, the family later shared that they enjoyed a wonderful vacation.

A little curiosity helped make their trip more comfortable and enjoyable.

The Big Toe

Another Protection Plan patient mentioned that he had undergone multiple procedures for bunions on his big toe. I looked at his foot and offered a few suggestions. He also worked with a golf professional, who adjusted his swing to reduce stress on his big toe.

The patient later shared that the combination of these changes helped him avoid further bunions.

Relationships Are Part of the Process

I make it a priority to know my patients as people, not just as appointments on the schedule. In my experience, the relationship between patient and practitioner is an important part of the healing process. When I understand what matters to someone—their family, work, hobbies, travel plans, and goals—I can better support them on their journey.

Please ask questions. Be curious. I am an open book, and I want you to use me as a resource. With years of practice and collaboration with other health professionals, I will work with you to explore the problem and identify thoughtful next steps. That can save you time and money.
